Passivhaus certification is granted by the Passive House Institute (PHI) in Darmstadt, Germany, the strictest energy efficiency standard in the world. It guarantees that the window achieves a thermal transmittance Uw below 0.8 W/m²K. ThermoNord holds PHI certification for the entire system: Genesis 90 frame and Triple Ultra Low-E glazing.

Genesis 90 has a depth of 90mm (vs. 60-77mm for competitors), a complete thermal break with Uf 0.8 W/m²K, and is Passivhaus certified. The closest alternatives, such as ALUMIL S77, only achieve Uf 0.85 W/m²K with 77mm depth.

Triple Ultra Low-E is our 52mm triple glazing with Ultra Low Emissivity coatings and SWISSPACER warm-edge spacer. It achieves Ug 0.5 W/m²K, exceeding all European energy efficiency standards.

Production takes approximately 2 weeks from order confirmation. Installation is completed in 1-3 days, depending on project complexity.

Installation includes certified professional fitting, proper sealing with tapes and membranes (not just polyurethane foam), and a free Blower Door airtightness test. If the result is not perfect, we fix it at our expense.

We offer a 15-year warranty on the entire system (frame + glazing + installation). The warranty is activated after the free airtightness test we perform upon completion of installation.

A Blower Door test (or airtightness test) measures how much air escapes through the installed window assembly. It is the international standard for verifying installation quality in passive houses. ThermoNord offers it for free.

The nZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building) standard, mandatory in Romania under MC-001/2022, requires windows with Uw values below 1.3 W/m²K. ThermoNord windows with Uw below 0.8 W/m²K significantly exceed this requirement, meeting the strictest European energy efficiency standards (Passivhaus).

Several European and national programmes fund energy renovation, including window replacement. ThermoNord windows exceed all European energy efficiency standards, which may make them eligible for these programmes. Eligibility depends on the specific conditions of each programme.
